North Lotus Counselling
This is a very special brand identity I did for Susie Black and her sexual abuse therapy business. I met Susie at a local networking event and heard about her cause and wanted to do everything in my power to help get her business off the ground, as I know it would help so many people. So, I offered my services and we got started.
The problem
Susie has all of these ideas for her business, but something she was entirely missing was a brand identity. Without a brand identity, people aren't going to know what kind of business Susie is running. With the power of a graphic designer on her side, we can really use this brand to create a more welcoming vibe for anyone who would see benefit in her services.
Susie's core values

Compassion
Demonstrating empathy, understanding, and non-judgmental support towards survivors
Trust
Building trust with clients by providing reliable and ethical counseling services that prioritise their well-being.
Empowerment
Promoting a sense of autonomy, empowerment, and resilience for survivors of sexual abuse.
Concepts and ideas
I went through a lot of logo design ideas. The idea we ended up landed on would essentially be a compass was formed in the shape of a lotus. This then ties in both the 'lotus' aspect of the brand and also the 'north' aspect. The compass also symbolises direction, something Susie was very keen on.

Verdict
Mission successful! Susie was very happy with her brand and we both belive it represents everything she stands for well, in a professional yet welcoming manor. Going forward, this will result in North Lotus Counselling being taken more seriously as a service, while also feeling like a more welcome place to be :)
